Will my customers know they're talking to an AI?
Riley introduces itself as your garage's automated booking line. We don't pretend to be human — that's both more honest and, in our testing, gets bookings completed faster because customers know to be brief and clear.
Does it work with my existing landline?
Yes — you keep the number on your sign. We either port it to Riley or set up unconditional forwarding, so every call goes straight to Riley from the first ring. Customers don't notice the difference; you don't pick up the phone.
What happens if Riley doesn't understand the caller?
Riley will ask once for clarification. If it still can't help — unusual request, complex diagnostic, customer wants to speak to a human — it takes a callback number and texts you immediately. No customer leaves a Riley call without next steps.
Where is the data stored? Are you GDPR compliant?
All data is held in UK / EEA data centres. We're registered with the ICO, calls are encrypted in transit and at rest, and call recordings auto-delete after 30 days unless you keep them. Full detail on the Privacy & Terms page.
Can I listen back to calls?
Yes — every call has a transcript and audio in the dashboard. Useful for resolving “but I said Thursday” disputes, and for tuning Riley's responses to your shop's quirks.
Do I need to install anything in the workshop?
No. Riley runs in the cloud — the workshop diary lives inside the Riley dashboard. If you can open a web browser on your phone or the office PC, you've got everything you need.
What if I cancel?
Cancel any time, no notice. For 30 days after cancellation you can export every booking, transcript and call recording as CSV / JSON / MP3. After that, everything is permanently deleted from our systems.
